Thank you for visiting AvTek's StdBy Elect Page(s), many of them...

If you are a VFR Pilot please stay here.  Even though VFR pilot can clearly benefit by having-it "On-Board", Most do NOT buy.

It's those IFR, Mooney, Beech, Cessna, Piper; Fast, High-Flying owners that have been ordering them (some-times two at a time; Buy w/Friend & Save $100 bucks).  So please click through my many pages of Information on AvTek's StdBy Elect Units.

Rather then I tell you what you've been missing, I'll let my Current, & Past Customers that have taken the time to write; Tell you.  Nearly 2000 units sold and many of them have written.  Here's just some:

Mike...
In-flight test was for 30 minutes with the master power secured, and all
electrical equipment off with the exception of one NAV/COMM (GX60 GPS/VHF
COMM).  After 30 minutes, I tried to lower the landing gear.  The circuit
breaker did pop.  I reset the breaker and with the landing gear handle
remaining in the down position, I turned the stby pwr back on.  The breaker
once again popped.  At this point I reset the breaker and disconnected the
stby pwr unit and turned on the master power.  Once the gear indicated down
and locked, I raised the gear and considered the flight check a success.

The appearance of the box fine.  The manual was very understandable.  And
finally, yes, I'd recommend the AvTek's StdBy Elect to anyone who flys a
single alternator/voltage regulator aircraft.
